In 2009, I started drilling exploration wells with Schlumberger, the world’s largest oilfield services company. Having been a biomedical engineer prior, my industry knowledge was minimal – but it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to challenge myself and test my abilities. From state-of-the-art deep water drill ships to old land rigs, I learned to adapt and thrive in demanding working conditions.
During my time offshore, I consistently delivered results that led to clients requesting me as the lead engineer on their projects repeatedly. Later as a manager I supervised a team of 20 employees across five different deep water projects and was responsible for everything from round-the-clock operations, future well planning, and contract negotiations.
Wearing multiple functional hats and seeing my employees develop sparked a desire in me to seek out similar opportunities in my career. Owning and operating my own business will allow me to achieve my goals.
My wife Monica and I plan to move to the location of your business and I will spend 100% of my time and energy managing its day-to-day operations and preserving its legacy.
